VenueShield provides the most advanced hygienic safeguards that serve Gila River Arena’s clients, guests, staff, teams, talent and all other visitors. All policies will be aligned with and informed by public health authorities, and medical and industry experts. ASM Global has proactively partnered with and will further consult with leading subject matter experts, health officials and industry leaders in the areas of industrial hygiene, sanitization and fulfillment to consult on all facets of the VenueShield program.
Gila River Arena is committed to the health and safety of our guests and employees. We have worked diligently with state and local health officials to enhance our already strict health, safety and cleanliness measures. These protocols and guidelines will be modified based on evolving standards, public health and governmental directives.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Stay Home With Symptoms
Fans MUST NOT come to the Arena if they have COVID-19, COVID-19 symptoms or know they've been exposed to COVID-19.
The mask policy will vary per event. Please check the individual event pages for each event's policy.
Employee Sanitization Training
Employees will undergo extensive training as it applies to COVID standards. Gila River Arena has implemented a program which calls for enhancements in our cleaning and building maintenance operations. The Program is dedicated to continuous staff training, targeted cleaning standards for event and non-event days, use of the most effective products, equipment and technology in the market, and focused facility maintenance plans.
Physical distancing of at least 6 feet is encouraged whenever possible.
Venue entry will utilize physical distancing markers on the ground for line queuing. All tickets will be paperless to allow touchless scanning from mobile devices at entry points.
Contactless Box Office
Tickets will not be available for sale at the box office. Fans must purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.com. Box office windows will be staffed with box office attendants on event days to assist fans with questions or problems related to ticketing.
Vaccine/Negative Test Requirements
Some events will require attendees to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 48-72 hours of the event OR full COVID-19 vaccination (at least two weeks after final dose).

Non- Smoking Facility
To limit touchpoints, Gila River Arena will now be a non-smoking facility. There will not be any indoor or outdoor smoking areas available for fan use during events. Fans who exit the venue to smoke will not be permitted reentry into the venue. Cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, lighters, etc. are strictly prohibited.
ENTERING THE VENUE
Pre-Paid Parking Encouraged
Parking passes will now be paperless to allow touchless scanning from mobile devices at entry points. Parking can be purchased online prior to event day at Ticketmaster.com. Upon entry to the parking lot, present your mobile parking pass to the parking attendant for scanning.
Cash will NOT be accepted at parking entrances.
Have your ticket loaded onto your mobile device before arriving to the arena. Make sure your phone is fully charged. To access your tickets, download the Ticketmaster app and log into your account. Save your tickets to your mobile wallet for easy access. Upon entry to the venue, present your mobile tickets for entry. for more detailed information on mobile ticketing.
INSIDE THE VENUE
Gila River Arena has transitioned to a cashless transaction arena ensuring contactless options for food, beverage and merchandise purchases. Credit card transactions only. Cash will no longer be accepted.
To further protect fans and staff, the eating and drinking of food and beverages must be done in a stationary location, such as your seating location, and not while actively walking. Eating and drinking on the concourse is not allowed. Purchase of concessions will be a cashless experience; no cash will be accepted. Maricopa County Environmental Services Department sanitization regulations are thoroughly carried out prior to and after each event. Condiment dispensers have been eliminated for fan safety.
Motion sensors have been installed on all toilets, soap dispensers and sinks for your safety and convenience.
Hand Sanitizer Stations
Touchless hand sanitizer stations are available for all fans throughout the arena.
Exiting The Building
At the conclusion of the event, fans will be released row by row starting with the top row closest to the main concourse. Guests will be directed to exit the gate at which they entered as it coincides with seating section. Fans are encouraged to look at guest services personnel and venue signage for egress procedures.
Through public health organizations, such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), Gila River Arena is staying informed of the latest updates and developments as they occur. As additional information and guidelines become available through the CDC or national/local officials, Gila River Arena will continue to comply and make updates.
