We have worked diligently with state and local health officials to enhance our already strict health, safety and cleanliness measures. These protocols and guidelines will be modified based on evolving standards, public health and governmental directives.

We are excited to welcome you back to Gila River Arena, while addressing important health and safety needs during this time.

VenueShield provides the most advanced hygienic safeguards that serve Gila River Arena’s clients, guests, staff, teams, talent and all other visitors. All policies will be aligned with and informed by public health authorities, medical and industry experts. Stay Home With Symptons

Fans MUST NOT come to the Arena if they have COVID-19, COVID-19 symptoms, or know they've been exposed to COVID-19.

Mandatory Health Questionnaire

 All venue visitors are required to fill out a health questionnaire before entering the venue. The Arizona Coyotes are partnering with Health Pass by CLEAR to help you return to Gila River Arena.  Health Pass is a free mobile solution that allows you to complete COVID-related screening requirements before arriving at the game.


To get started, download the CLEAR app before game day and enroll for free here.
All you need is a government-issued ID. Remember to complete the in-app checklist no more than twelve hours before the Coyotes game.

Mask Policy

All fans and employees are required to wear a face mask at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking in their seat. Current guidance from Maricopa County and the NHL advises that plastic face shields are not an adequate alternative to cloth face coverings. Neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, costume masks, face coverings containing valves, mesh materials, or holes of any kind are not acceptable masks.

All face coverings must:

  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin.
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the sides of the face. 

Guests under the age of 2 years are not required to wear a mask. 

Employee Sanitization Training

Employees will undergo extensive training as is applies to Covid standards. Gila River Arena has implemented a program which calls for enhancements in our cleaning and building maintenance operations.  The Program is dedicated to continuous staff training, targeted cleaning standards for event and non-event days, use of the most effective products, equipment and technology in the market and focused facility maintenance plans.

Physical Distancing

Physical distancing of at least 6 feet will be enforced at all times.

Contactless Entry

Fans will be designated an entrance for their ticket according to their seating section.Venue Entry will utilize physical distancing markerson the ground for line queuing. All tickets will be paperless to allow touchless scanning from mobile devices at entry points.

Contactless Box Office

Tickets will not be available for sale at the box office. Fans must purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.com. Box office windows will be staffed with box office attendants on game day to assist fans with questions or problems related to ticketing. 

Capacity Reduction

Capacity reductions are in place to facilitate physical distancing. Congregating in groups is prohibited.

Non- Smoking Facility

To limit touchpoints, Gila River Arena will now be a non-smoking facility. There will not be any indoor or outdoor smoking areas available for fan use during events. Fans who exit the venue to smoke will not be permitted reentry into the venue


ENTERING THE VENUE

Pre-Paid Parking Only

Parking passes will now be paperless to allow touchless scanning from mobile devices at entry points. Parking must be purchased online prior to event day at Ticketmaster.com. Upon entry to the parking lot, present your mobile parking pass to the parking attendant for scanning.

Cash will NOT be accepted at parking entrances. Vehicles will be parking in every other space to provide physical distancing within parking lots. Please note that valet service has been eliminated and tailgating is prohibited. 

Assigned Entrance

Ticket purchasers will receive a dedicated email assigning them a designated gate to enter through based on their seat location.

Below are the assigned entrances based off seating section: 

  1. Gate 1 Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 107-108, AZ Blue Club, Loge Boxes, and suites only
  2. Gate 2 North Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 112-114 only
  3. Gate 2 South Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 109-111
  4. Gate 4 West Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 115-117 only
  5. Gate 4 East Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 118-120 only
  6. Gate 6 North Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 101, 121, and 122
  7. Gate 6 South Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 102-103
  8. Gate 7 Assigned Entrance: Seating sections 104-106 only

Strict No Bag Policy

NO BAGS OF ANY KIND including diaper bags, clutches, clear bags, purses, backpacks, fanny packs, etc. will be permitted inside the building to help reduce touchpoints for all staff and guests. Guests who arrive at the venue with these items will be asked to return them to their car.

Mobile Ticketing

Have your ticket loaded onto your mobile device before arriving to the arena. Make sure your phone is fully charged. To access your tickets, download the Ticketmaster app and log into your account. Save your tickets to your mobile wallet for easy access. Upon entry to the venue, present your mobile tickets for entry. Click here for more detailed information on mobile ticketing.


INSIDE THE VENUE

Cashless Transactions

Gila River Arena has transitioned to a cashless transaction arena ensuring contactless options for food, beverage and merchandise purchases. Credit card transactions only. Cash will no longer be accepted.

 

 

Concessions

To further protect fans and staff, the eating and drinking of food and beverages must be done in a stationary location, such as your seating location, and not while actively walking. Eating and drinking on the concourse is not allowed. Purchase of concessions will be cashless experience; no cash will be accepted. Maricopa County Environmental Services Department sanitization regulations are thoroughly carried out prior to and after each event. Condiment dispensers have been eliminated for fan safety.

Express Food and Beverage Ordering

There's no need to wait in line for your food anymore. At all events at Gila River Arena, use your mobile phone to place your order at select locations, and proceed to that location to pick up your food. It's that easy. Fans are required to download the Arizona Coyotes mobile app or scan the QR code posted on venue signage to use this feature.

Contactless Restrooms

Motion censored sinks, soap dispensers, and toilets have been installed in all restrooms for your safety and convenience. 

Hand Sanitizer Stations

Touchless hand sanitizer stations are available for all fans throughout the arena.

Exiting The Building

At the conclusion of the event, fans will be released row by row starting with the top row closest to the main concourse. Guests will be directed to exit the gate at which they entered as it coincides with seating section. Fans are encouraged to look at guest services personnel and venue signage for egress procedures.

Coyotes Den Team Shop

A limited number of fans will be allowed into the Team Shop to facilitate physical distancing. Fans must bag their own items and payment transactions will be cashless; no cash will be accepted.
